Charity Poem by Houda Boukassoula

Charity

In my selfishness I was sinking
My soul was almost drowning
In a darkness prevailing the view

Each drop of morning dew
Watered my doubts anew
Amidst mist and mirage they grew

Amidst stiff thoughts and cool views
Threads of salvation my mind sew
When my heart captured a light of you
My soul was oozing sureness
Charity, altruism and righteousness
To make the sun shine kindness.
