Charlie The Wonder Dog Poem by Robert Gilchrist

Charlie The Wonder Dog

Rating: 5.0

Charlie the Wonder-Dog
Charlie is a wonder-dog
Not because he can jump tall buildings
Or see through walls with x-ray vision
Not because he has the strength of an elephant
Or can breath under water
Charlie is a wonder-dog
Not because he can run faster than a speeding bullet
Or stop an express train with his paw
Not because he can keep the meanest burglar at bay
Or put out a forest fire
Charlie is a wonder-dog
Because he wonders when his dinner will be ready
