Cheater Poem by Brittany Gorski

Cheater

her muffled cries echoed the empty room
tears rolled down her pale face
her mall child-like eyes darted around
looking for a way to get out
her broken nails dug into the chair
her body shook with silent sobs
her feet moved and strained against the bonds
struggling she tried to hear something
then she heard him
coming through the small opening
he pulled out a gun
aimed and fired
her body bounces back from the impact
her insides poured out
pulling off her mask
her sister smiled and walked away
thinking
'she'll never mess with me or my boyfriends again'
as she walked past his limp body
