Cheating Poem by Frank Adie

Cheating

I hate to know that I cheated on my wife,
Yet I don't regret doing it with you;
Cheating wasn't part of my life,
But that has changed since I meet you.

I have leapfrogged countless overtures
But I now feel they were just miniatures
I never thought I would have a mistress
Not until I met this slimy seductress.

Adultery is not a virtue
My life shouldn't be its venue
I am a helpless captive in her arm
I am a victim of her hypnotic charm.
