Cheeky Charlie Poem by Charlotte Pinkney

Cheeky Charlie

Cheeky Charlie

Cheeky Charlie went out to play
It was a lovely, sunny day
But as soon as she went out
All the kids began to scream and shout
Its cheeky Charlie run away!
I don’t want to play with her today
So all the children ran away
And Charlie was left alone in the street
Stamping her own two angry feet

Then she went home
And sat by her garden gnome
She started to dream
She was in a house made out of cream
Then a wolf made out of bricks
Knocked down a person made out of sticks
She woke up with a start
And found herself in a cart
Well she ran away
For a year and a day
And that’s the end of Cheeky Charlie
For today!
