Cheereth Thyself Uppeth! Poem by Denis Martindale

Cheereth Thyself Uppeth!

Cheereth thyself uppeth! OK?
As it's a brand new year!
Breathe in and out calmeth today!
No needeth to drink beer!
Just spareth time, relaxeth now,
And taketh heart, dear friend,
We must get througheth this somehow,
Don't goeth round the bend!

So plougheth on and plougheth right,
And prayeth once again!
I prayeth every day and night
As doeth faithful men.
Cheereth thyself uppeth! OK?
Counteth thy blessings still.
Casteth away today's dismay
And payeth the electricity bill.

The poem is about the cost-of-living crisis!
The current electricity bill is shocking! Nuff said.
