Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster

I remember
How sadly I used to hear about the news bulletins
Broadcast over Moscow Radio
About the Chernobyl nuclear disaster,
The area made vacated after the leak,
Pople falling ill to as for
Radio actives hanging around dangerously

And there came a time when the peopel left for
Different places and locations
Away from their respective palces
And the houses used to close and open it themselves
In the winds blowing
Just like the haunted houses, abandoned houses

And blood used to ooze out of the noses and mouths
Of the small childen reading in schools,
What a pity was it to hear it about,
How much pain inflicted it upon the people
For no fault of theirs
They suffered it most, bore it silently
As for the leak from the atomic reactors?
