Chernobyl's Children Poem by Thomas Berntsen

Chernobyl's Children

They placed you on a broken down bus to no where,
And told you, "Don't worry, you'll be back."
Tears rolled down from your eyes,
As you viewed your home for the last time.
They ripped you from your cradle,
From everything you knew. Hold on! You're the heroes and heroines of this world
Shine on! You're brighter than Hiroshima and Nagasaki!
