The Cherokees so proud and strong
Have special days each year
They cherish their ancient traditions
In their hearts they hold so near

Costumes brilliant and exciting
Dance and music so unique
Gets the senses reeling
And rhythm in your feet

Difficult days behind them
But they never will forget
What their ancestors suffered
So many sad regrets

It’s so important to remember
To pass the knowledge down
To generations of children
The past and their historic ground

So beautiful and incredible
Their ancient traditional ways
