Child's Discovery



She looks down in wonder
at the sight before her young eyes,
as gentle waves that rush to greet her,
and her expression reveals joyful surprise.
The waves are her new friends,
as she splashes and plays in the cool white spray.
In a child's heart, such joy has no end,
and she will forever remember this special summer day.
