No thanks my dear, I don't need the chill
Seems too much erosion has gone over the hill
I've broken the chains and I'm finding my way
Your price is too high and I'm unwilling to pay
Tomorrow won't find me, trapped in a snare
Waiting forever, for someone to care
Pining away, while wondering why
My heart is the one, held to the knife
No thanks my dear, your message is clear
The coffer is empty, no room for me here
You barred the door, and turned out the light
Shut down your heart and locked it up tight
I don't need attention wrapped all in strings
When the fondness I offered, was the real thing
So take all the honey, and the foolish pride
I don't know your name, is it Jekyll or Hyde?
No thanks my dear, there's no need to wait
Our amity is small, our differences great
The time for devotion is well in the past
A one sided love is not meant to last
Life is too short to play foolish games
I'll get on with living, and you'll do the same
You won't find me tomorrow filled with ill-will
I'll be reveling in sunshine, far away from the chill
