China Made From Bones - Poem by Saiom Shriver

We had never known

that bone china

is made with bones

of murdered beings

who no longer

their own bodies own.

Some eat cow parts

on a plate

containing ash

of her cow sister's

pate.

Topic(s) of this poem: food

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Note:

'Bone china is...made from bone—cow bone in particular, although in rare cases you could be eating off of a plate made from a dead person.' From the knowledgenuts.com site

Bone china is, as its name suggests, made from bone—cow bone in particular, although in rare cases you could be eating off of a plate made from a dead person.
