Choices Poem by Claude H Oliver II

Choices

What to do, what not to do
Ah, life gives me the challenge
Each second, each minute, each hour
I do – not knowing consequence
I do – knowing consequence
I do not – not knowing and knowing same
Either choice I must own
Who is helped – who hurt – or neither
Is who me or not me
When me – when not me
Why me – why not me
An ever adjusting balance always seeking resolution
Yet seldom easily achieved
This choice – that choice – no choice is choice
Choice – my ever present travelling companion.
