Wales, the land of sheep and strange accents

Please don't clip my wings,
Don't nail me to the ground.
Let me fly far away
Among the clouds
Somewhere and nowhere,
where my thoughts and I can be alone.

I want to escape to a route of my own.

The trail on my left lies bathed in sunlight
Flowers, they bloom like Spring
But at the end of the path
a brick wall stands to attention
Making me blind.
If I only had a ladder
I would climb to the other side.

The path on my right is shady and cool
Twisted talons stretch overhead
Through the thickset brambles
I can see the glimmer of light.
If I only had an axe
I would chop them all away.

I shall make a route of my own

Please don't clip my wings
Don't nail me to the ground.
Let me fly far away
Among the clouds
Somewhere and nowhere
where my thoughts and I can be alone.

I am going to take a route of my own.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This one reminds me of Robert Frost's poem The Road Not Taken.I like trail blazing, too.Very nice thought provoking poem.

I gave this a nine because I consider this a complete piece. It has everything and more. It even has basic philosophy. The core blessing of all good thoughts. GW62
