Choices And Consequences Poem by Nahna James

Choices And Consequences

She sees the red flags, but he's fit,
Blinded by the buzz, ignoring the hit.
Feminism fights, but won't get far,
Till we own our choices, raise the bar.

Men face the heat, no global cry,
Yet women rise, and that's no lie.
But if you're out here demanding better,
Don't sit back—get your act together.

Bride price, fine, but keep it real,
Why pay for what others got on the deal?
Men graft hard, putting in the grind,
Only to date women with an entitled mind.

Passed around, now she's bitter inside,
Blaming men for the loss of pride.
But no one's irreplaceable, that's fact,
Life moves on, and that's the pact.

Sex for cash? Nah, that's not the way,
You can't expect a man to pay.
She finds her pleasure on the sly,
While the real man wonders why.

No man's owed her body, no way,
And no woman's owed a man's pay.
You want to act like you're strong and bold?
Then get treated like a man, be cold.

Body positivity, hook-up nights,
This ain't the battle of past fights.
Fellas, don't take on kids if it's not for you,
And never let her tell you what to do.
