Choose - Poem by Amy Hang

Love or Lust?
Which is it?
Is it a man who could make me smile constantly & giggle with in
Or the man who I could open up & lose myself into?

Lost in thought
With a decision for myself.
Risking new challenges & levels to feel complete & isolated
Though i could leave it, letting the inside chew me up with regret.

I'm too young to go through stress,
Especially with the guys who I'm connected close to already.
Wanting someone who could never hurt me, but myself.
Wanting someone who I could smile & expose everything that's in me.

Feeling the need to cry for this ridiculous struggle over nothing.
Hopelessly trying to make myself alive & happy,
But not wanting to hurt one or the other.
Then again, there's a choice to make.

A choice with sadness & agony
And a choice with laughter & burdening.
A life with so mych tears & pain
And a life with so much grins & delight.

Tears to pour into my heart
A memory that can scar up my mind
But a choice, ...a decision.
Which is it?

Love or Lust?
