Chopsticks Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Chopsticks

Chopsticks

In our course, though small
-are great girls and guys.

Some are gay, some queer,
-and others old-style.

But always, and somehow
-the gender relations
-becomes talk of class.

One question repeated
-is same-sex relation:
-and members' position:
- "Which is wife or husband? "

Old I am, they are young,
-need to act chick and tongue,
-too careful, watch my mouth.

Best is if is nameless
-for writing this poem.
-He is an extrovert and a gay,
-comes out sharp to answer:
- "We are like chopsticks."

Then raises a question:
- "Which is the fork?
-Which one knife? "

He, Cree, half-bred,
-is unlike Gringa;
- (grown, raised in US
-and looting, bloodshed
-to prove "Great-Again! ")
-He is pure … not spy!

"I see me as queer, "
-says the girl, baby-like
-sucking on nipples which
-never saw, smelled milk!
-Her world is Washington!
