Ciss Kelleher Poem by Francis Duggan

Ciss Kelleher

When i was a schoolboy going back Seasons of time
Ciss Looney of Annagloor was in her physical prime
Before she married Billy Kelleher of Cockhill
Her children now parents time does not stand still
A good mother to her children and to the late Billy Kelleher a good wife
In Cockhill she lived for the most of her life
A hard working person who was honest and kind
She lived as one caring and pure of mind
An octogenarian one advanced in years
Her passing would not have gone without tears
From where she lived a short distance away
In view of Cashman's Hill her last remains lay
Hope her parting from life was a painless release
Ciss Kelleher may she now rest in peace.
