Citizens In Pains Poem by Deniyi Dedayo

Citizens In Pains

Expressing the pains I feel inside
With nothing but bitter words to the outside
'Cause this's bout the biggest black Nation
I think is dying like fading emotion.

Corruption now the order of today
As youths can find no other way
Than this disgracing act of crime
That even the old embrace like it's right.

Constant Electricity, one unrealistic few
As many have tried but none can do
Which unlike Stable Electricity, is hardly created
But this if they do would be yet the greatest.

Education has sudden turned gold
So only the rich can afford the load
Of sending wards into private ones;
Since both federals & states are functioning wrong

Bad roads easily associated to poor governance,
For budgets allocated them have turned allowance
By Governors involved in embezzlement;
Painting a picture, our leaders are but disappointments.

Prayers increasing much, yet no results,
For wasted effort they're I mean no insult
If only powers and more powers were in my arms,
Would make things right without the use of arms.
