City-Life Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

City-Life

City-life of
The morning walkers
And the evening walkers
And they walking and walking
For health,
Not to keep fit
As were they late-sleepers,
Late-risers,
The joggers in the park
Jogging,
Commuters coming and going,
Catching the bus,
Returning late into the night
Again departing for
Early in the morning,
Office-goers taking rice and pulse
At 10 a.m,
In the evening the shoppers doing
Shopping,
Children in the park
Gasping for breath and clean air,
The vehicles belching fire and smoke,
The pollutants in the air.
