City Of Strangers.... Poem by Ruerd Visser

City Of Strangers....

Here i am amidst the city of strangers,
people may see me, or hear me.
Without knowing who i am.

Therefore reducing my presence,
to a public sham.

Still one thing is crystal clear,
there are those that know
with their heart.

And it are those that break the ban,
called upon by the anonymous gang
of strangers.

The strangers that beseige the streets,
day by day.
The strangers hiding their true face
behind their mask of weiriness.

Maybe i am the strangest one of them all,
wearing my mask with fear.
Cause deep in my heart i know,
the moment is near.

Someday soon there will be a big parade,
a parade of strangers.
Taking of their masks.

Who knows what they reveal,
will it be the real deal?
Or just another sharade,
to go by?

Only the bravest dare us all,
showing their true face.
Lit up with joy,
the joy of truth.

Gathererings will be held,
clubs will be formed.
Reunions will come,
reuniting the heartcore fans.

Emitting a witting sphere,
that will clear the streets.
Of stranginess.

Connecting the heartcore gang,
of those revealing their true face.
Will be the next best thing,
from here to eternity.

O city of strangers,
it will all turn around.
As we are bound to show our true face.

In a parade of the heartcore gang,
laughing and crying.
As the bewildered strangers watch us,
take of our masks of weariness.
