Click, Click, Bang! Poem by Dakota Russell

Click, Click, Bang!

Rating: 5.0

Cold steel touches soft lips
A finger feels the brushed metal of the trigger
The finger tightens and pulls the trigger
CLICK!
The once steady hand now shakes
The barrel rattles against hard white teeth
Strength is gathered once again
The trigger is pulled once again
CLICK!
The shaky hand convinces the rest of the body to join
A single tear rolls down there cheek
Thoughts flash through the mind
Utter silence is over taken by a low sob muffled by the gun
The trigger is felt by a trembling finger
This time the trigger is pulled slowly
Until…
BANG!
