Cloak'D By The Mantle Of Eternal Night

Rating: 5.0

Cloak'd by the mantle of eternal night,
Each other's loving heat so closely felt,
We banish far the coldness, holding tight,
Both arm in arm beneath Orion's belt.
Together we shall hold the world at bay,
As looking up we see the heavens high,
Dreaming us as stars, to here forever stay,
And not the shallow clouds that pass us by.
Alas, with each new start there is an end,
An end, by all accounts, that comes too soon,
As we must from these moments soon contend
With wishing our farewells upon the moon.
Though endless passing moons may come and go,
For me this endless night shall ever glow.
