Close Your Eyes Poem by Tracy Galloway

Close Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Toss aside doubt
A moment
Close your eyes
And open mine in your mind
If only able
What you’d capture in my heart
My sweet admiration
My deep blue hope
That soft of midnight never hums
Nor the buzz of light leaves
wanes or becomes
Without my wish of you
Your hands on me
Warm static on skin
Blush me
None could possibly know
Bar my now blessed sight
What you are in my bones
How your sweat melts my hurry
Yet attends to each vein
Amazed
As I love in back and foreground
Of you
It is only for your whole
By your every grain of beauty
That I write
And lose the world to your thought
From blood to touch
My attraction
Sewn silent with need
To your form
Never called into question
By my eyes
Not ever by sight nor heart
Always I
So easily flushed and frail
On your lips
Through your flesh
Keep time by my heart
And know well
Your fair surface against me
As I sleep to your soul
