Closer Poem by Jessica Zurawel

Closer

You came so close I felt your breath,
Your arms went around my waist,
And you pulled me closer to you,
Your head touched mine,
Our lips touching,
But were not moving,
Not one inch,
And you pull me away and open your eyes,
I smile and look away,
You take my bangs and put then behind my ear,
I look into your dark brown eyes,
I some how melted into them,
Then I came real close and said,
'Do you love me? ',
And you came real close and touched me lips,
'Yes.',
I lost myself in you,
Trying to keep control,
But you seemed to pull my close,
And I came closer,
You backed away and said softly,
'Temptation is strong.'
Then leaned into kiss my lips,
You brished my skin then kissed my arm,
Then kissed my neck,
And you said you did love me,
And for once...,
I felt alive.
