Closure Poem by Alison Mujati

Closure

Closure

Is it the oxygen they breath
Or some expense they tease
To crinkle beneath balms
Eat from loving palms
For love given
Feeling like it's never taken.
Who inhales the breeze of early morning?
A spring fountain of hope.
Drink to intoxication,
Beyond reason, beyond understanding.
Some call it the spirit of adventure.
A door to thousand fantasies
Every step taken leads to a whole new world.
Bring that cup, let's drink to drunkenness.
Let's tango, a dance of two.
Under unquenched rain
With drenched garments
A seduction set for a big screen.
Two turtle doves together.
Red wine glasses grasped for pleasure.
Sentimental newbies professing we lost it.
Did we?
Perverts know we didn't.
I'm that handsome fairytale boy Aladdin
You are that silky diva.
Together we pop fireworks
