Cloud Chief, Oklahoma Poem by John McCornack

Cloud Chief, Oklahoma

Cloud Chief has and will always be my home town
Even when I go east, west, north, south, up or down
But now it is time to try to break out the back fence
And hit that trail back to my current Yukon residence

But maybe tomorrow morning early I will be back
With my new trusty digital camera in a gunny sack
And if the creek don't rise and I still remain sober
I will be looking for opportunities to enjoy October
