Cloud’s Sibling Poem by AtreyaSarma Uppaluri

Cloud’s Sibling

Rating: 2.0

No longer able to bear her watery babe in
The slow and heavy bellied Cloud is eager
To be delivered of the Rain
But finds herself helpless
In the pitch-dark night.

Then Brother Lightning comes along
And helps her with his dazzling torch
As Ms Wind proffers to be the midwife
And as Earth, the foster mother,
Spreads out the downy cradle down under.

Beautiful and well written poem. I found the personalization of the elements excellent. As you seem to I too love the rain, but never saw it as a the progeny of clouds before. Great take on it!
