Standing on the terrace,
Gazing at the sky,
For the first time,
It wasn't the sunset that caught my eye,
But the clouds, drifting high.
Always present, adorning the expanse,
Yet never praised in a passing glance.
Endlessly, I watch them roam,
Wishing I could capture them and take them home.
If only I could float upon the breeze,
To feel the clouds within my grasp with ease.
So beautiful, yet so far away,
Perhaps that's the lesson they convey.
