Clutch Poem by Jennifer Nash

Clutch

Wasting our time, one kiss at a time. One insignificant blunder, and you yell loud as thunder... you grumble and we tumble and we fall then we crumble. Picking ourselves back up again, running blindly into the and then... To what end I ask as you stroll along without a care, if I were to ask you it would be on a dare. You look at me like I'm being juvenile, and I try my best to fake a smile. I pretend it doesn't upset me because for you that would be too much, just as I give up I'm back in your clutch.
