Clackety clackety clackety
Clack
Up up up up
The people and buildings shrink below
A seagull glides on a gust of wind
The air cool
The sun shining bright
Clackety clackety clackety
Clack
The tower at the summit closer and closer
Terrible slow torture
Thrilling anticipation
Clackety clackety clackety
Clack
At last
The car seems to stop on top of
The world…
Here we—
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Down down down down
Up up up and around
Hands high, daredevil joy
Down up through and over
Up up up and down
Hair flying, bar tight, knuckles white
Up up down down
One last turn and
Up down Up down Up down
Wheeeeeeeeee!
Jerk jerk clackety clackety
Whew…
"Thank you for riding The Blue Streak.
Please watch your step as you exit."
"Hurry up, Dad!
Now I want to go on the new one
It's bigger and faster
And spins you around upside down! "
