Cock'N Bull - Poem by Bera Tremoz

Here I am sitting
alone
pint almost done
5 guys around a table to my left
4 girls around a table to my right
trying to light my smoke
after 3 unsuccessful matches
and only 2 cigarettes left
in my pocket,

they talk about purses
they talk about ex-wives
they discuss politics and playboy
and this stranger, she comes and asks
to read a poem i just wrote,
i say sure but i got bad
handwriting
she didn't care and
took it away from me,
just like that,
meanwhile
i had plans for this current one,
plans of writing
something about Rob
something about my last accident
some rant about failed
relationships,
but it's all gone now,
she took it away from me,

they keep talking
they keep laughing
and i think of what to do
once the smokes' gone
once the beer's gone,
then i heard the band
getting ready to play
making me, pushing me
to leave,
but here she is again
charging full force
shakes my hand,
introductions,
and minutes later
kisses my cheek with
fresh 2$ lipstick
before probing my mouth
with her wet wet
tongue.
