Cogon Grass Poem by adele carlos

Cogon Grass

My life is an adventure, quite a long journey
Until I found myself one fateful day
Walking through a high cogon grass
I know there is no need of turning back
Just to get my shoes made of glass?

My quest must continue no matter what
For I know that others had come and pass this way
May they be old or sickly
Fat, pregnant or walking limply

If they had crossed this part with this kind of grass
In this same field, I can pass, I can pass
So whenever I feel like obstacles are on my way
And everything goes wrong
I know it is God working with me
To keep my spirit strong.
