Cold Pines At Moonlight Night Poem by Charles WOO

Cold Pines At Moonlight Night

Rating: 5.0

A golden sheen upon hazy mists, the winter moon shines
Whilst midnight chill seeps into the mountain pines.

Tall and silent, they stand with roots subtly entwined
On craggy rocks so ruthlessly outlined.

It is into those noble arms that soft snow fell
And how oft upon their needles so green did the cranes dwell.

Yet like writhing dragons swathed with scales
Their reach towards the sky eternaly prevails.

Teasing the wind from chilly world,
Where mountain clouds gently swirled

They remain forever timeless
Regal silhouettes, ever flawless.
