Colors Poem by William Kofoed

Colors

It is wrong to say
Black or white or yellow or red
And blacks are this
And whites are that
This color is like that
And those do that
These are wrong and really bad
But I am gray and must be old
And she is blond and has more fun
And saying this is quite okay
Still to me it seems
Still just as bad
And still just as wrong
It is the mind and heart and thoughts
That makes us who we are
And that the colors have no say
