Colours Poem by Celestial Goddess

Colours

As the hours turn into days,
Our colours relentlessly fade.
Like the memories we've forgotten,
And the ones we've never made.

We used to communicate without words,
Now we can't even look at each other in the eyes.
Behold the once upon a time lovers,
About to bid their final goodbyes.

Distance had created a void between us,
The clouds of doubt had drenched us with fears.
We were thirsty for warmth, and starving for love,
Biting our lips and blinking back our tears.

The hopes that had once held us together,
Finally broke us apart.
The person who had been a cure to me demons,
Became the scars on my heart.

They say not every story has a happy ending,
And damn they are so right.
Cause our fate was written in the stars,
With words we could not rewrite.
