Colours Poem by Anonymous Ghurl

Colours

Loud, so loud all of the time
So I set me down to rhyme
Outside my head, the voices rage
Inside myself a quiet cage
Sound-proof cell, pads on the wall
Stifling all my mournful calls
Still it's better when it's still
When loud, my thoughts go where they will
Here my thoughts are one track true
Even if they make me blue
Better blue than shades of red
Swarming thoughts inside my head
Blue or red or sometimes black
Once in one, I can't get back
Amid the colours throughout the day
But when night falls, they all turn grey
That is when I contemplate
Should I stay? Is it too late?
Colours, colours everywhere
See the dull and see the fair
Shades and tints and all the rest
All these fade through time and test
The rainbow hues all turn to white
When, in the end, they enter light

not bad bit it could be more better if garlanded with metaphors, similes and a slight touch of other figurative tools. poetry is something like a portrait, for example u gonna describe a thing differently
