Come For A While Poem by manaswini dash

Come For A While

Oh! My dear world of my time!
Why are you not coming these days?
Remembering you, my tear is flowing always.
Gone are those sweet memorable days.
You used to come to my house with soft sun rays.
And knocked my doors with finger tip
To know how am I you made a peep.
A basket full flowers you kept in my door front.
Oh! What a sweet fragrance to make my day start!
I remember everything my dear.
How I was happy in your time and without fear.
Nobody is coming to my house now.
Neither the sunlight nor even the shadow.
Leafless trees and the dried grass in the garden.
Creates an melancholic ambiance for the birds to come.
The air bearing neighbour's garden fragrance.
casually passed my door without a glance.
Solitude prevails everywhere.
Leaving me in a state of complete despair.
I keep on waiting for you, if you come by chance.
But it remain unattended without your response.
If your time permits then please come and see.
Me and my wretched condition without any glee.
How I am leaving an unwanted, useless life.
How my loneliness piercing me always like a knife.
My tiring eyes are being attacked by soldiers of sleep.
To lessen my stress and make me asleep.
Forcibly I drove them out to wait for you.
So, please come for a while before I sleep-
while passing this way through.
