Come Here Before Daybreak – A Love Song Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Come Here Before Daybreak – A Love Song

Come here before daybreak
With a song of twilight
Dancing shadows by the lake
From the dark deep night
Your hand of glowing beams
A round dance of glisten
On the river's waving streams
And the splashing to listen
Forever your contrast dance
Of dreaming of the dark
Now is your very last chance
Before day comes to spark

Chorus
Barrier of love dreams to come
Spaces to go with ease
Love of inside everywhere from
Pleasures of affection to please
Be forever for always
Beyond every eternity
Like night to dark plays
Everything is here to be

Night is an eternal love song
Roots of the forms within
Touched by the deep to prolong
Each of its power and win
Dreams beyond the goodbyes
Journeys in profound space
Without closing your eyes
In to the moon and its ways
Love songs to dance in flights
Across their times with me
Forever and ever the nights
Setting your distances free

Chorus

- in the making -
