Come My Child Poem by Correina MacRae

Come My Child

Come my child
Hold my hand
Please come with me
To a better land
No tears will you weep,
Eternally shall your body sleep
But for this your soul will
Have much joy

No suffering my little one
I will show you unconditional
Love
You are so small
And need tender care
So from that world
You, I shall spare
Your mother had you
For those precious months,
She carried you, she gave
You love
But you now must leave her side
And take your rightful place
By mine.

Come my child,
Hold my hand, my precious son
It’s time to come home now,
Your eternal life has now begun.
