Come What May Poem by Felix Otiende

Come What May

Come What May

As I take this step,
I won't disappoint you Papa,
I can see our cowshed empty,
All sacrificed for me,

Papa I assure you,
This is not going to be a barter trade,
I won't make you a laughing stock,
I will put a smile on your heart,

Mama I see the scars on your skin,
From weeding thornmelon,
You have faith,
Giving everything from your savings,

Your sacrifice won't be in vain,
Am committed,
I want to pay you seven times,
Pray God give us life
