Mum Poem by Felix Otiende

Mum

My deepest and heartfelt thanks to Roseline Owegi

My World

When I had nothing to call mine
You gave me everything I deserved not
When I became fragile from my lose
You handled me with care and called me yours
Whoever I am is you my jewel

In dark valleys and deep rivers you lifted me
Gave me life again and accepted me
When my world crumbled down you were my earth
You gave me a foundation to stand and grow
You watered my roots and tendered my buds

You took me as your own
You hidden me under your arms for protection
You made my heart heal from life's pricks
Cobbled together my esteem and made believe in life
I owe you everything I have in my life

Icons like you are rare and priceless to find
Held by the world like thin film of water in the soil
But full with love like air we breath
I will forever run in debt to pay your kindness
Abundance of blessings and favour from God

Greatest Tribute to MUM, so most beautiful when we can read a Poem of gratitude, straight from the heart. Your words touch me as a reader,

A beautiful tribute to a great mum ceremoniously rich in tone....
