Comfort In Lies Poem by Iana Castro

Comfort In Lies

In quiet corners, shadows loom,
A fragile heart finds solace, bloom.
Against the tide of past disdain,
A hand extends, but wrapped in pain.

With every word, a tender guise,
A safety found beneath the lies.
They lean on warmth that feels like home,
Though chains of doubt still twist and roam.

In moments shared, a flicker shines,
Where kindness lingers, softly binds.
Yet echoes of a harsher past,
Whisper warnings, shadows cast.

They know the cost, the silent strain,
Yet comfort clings, like summer rain.
For in this space, they feel a spark,
A flicker bright against the dark.

Caught in the web of love and fear,
A heart finds solace, yet feels unclear.
In tender ties, a struggle brews,
To seek the light, yet hold the bruise.
