Concede Defeat Poem by Sakib Choudhury

Congratulations world, for  you have finally won
This bout of wills between you and i
bow down do i and graciously concede defeat

For too long have i been defiant to your ways
No longer do i have the strength or will to fight
Just to become the person i percieve myself to be

For too long have you whittled away at my soul
So much so that now theres barely a shred left
All decency that was within me has left this body
Replacing it with something so grotesque
that if somebody were to peek inside my mind
They would surely recoil in absolute disgust

Conform will i to whatever means you deam
For my last wish all i ask for in return
Is a life full no more of pain and suffering
