Confession Poem by Tiger Lily Love

Confession

Stop everything please!
I think its time that I come clean
I'm not at all who I appear to be

I'm not the shining star
That always seems to blind your eyes
I'm devious, & deceitful
With the uncanny ability to lie

I'm picture perfect
Hiding everything I like
And if not watched carefully
I'll break the hearts of loved ones
And stab those who care most in the back

And I've buried the bodies
Of those who've unmasked the truth
I've washed my hands of their blood
After turning the knife
And disposing of all evidence or proof

My smile is one sprinkled with sugar
So seemingly sweet
No one ever questioning
Who I could really be
Or what lies beneath

SO easily concealing
My true identity
And I've mastered the art of deception
But the illusion of innocence
Seems to better suit me

Stop everything please!
I think it's time I come clean
But then again there's no need
For this confession is one
No one will ever think to read

Brave poem to write. I applaud your courage. Poetry seems to tell your secrets, but that can be a good thing. It can free you and allow you to be something better. This part: And I've buried the bodies Of those who've unmasked the truth I've washed my hands of their blood After turning the knife And disposing of all evidence or proof Chilling and dark. Nice!
