Confession To Jesus Poem by Pink Butterfly

Dear Jesus,

I am writing to let you know how happy I am to be your adherent
You are my loving brother and my God, the saviour that was sent
I praise you for everything, for every single thing you've done
Back then when I was small, I already knew you were the one

Now, I am a better servant of your teachings
I am not the little girl you used to know
I am now open minded and more concern
Of this world that has to grow

I want to confess my wrong deeds as well as the deeds of my race
There were many obstacles in life that sometimes we cannot face
We started war many times, that caused a lot of danger
We let despair killed us and drowned ourselves to anger

We forgot how to forgive, and also to understand
The peaceful world you've made, was ruined in our hand
We envy others of what they have and never been contented
We let every demon deceived us, and be obnoxious and tempted

The surroundings have to suffer, the land where we belong
The nature and all the beautiful things in Earth, will never live too long
We failed to take care of them, the treasures that were given
I'm sure someday you'll get them, and bring them back to heaven

We've been blinded by wrong emotions
And fooled by dwelling detestations
Our hearts that was made pure
Is now dark and obscure

In spite of all these things, you're still there
Though we're not worthy of you, still you care
Jesus, our wrong deeds doesn't mean we don't love you
We're just humans, made imperfectly, but we do

On behalf of everybody I want to say sorry
I think this is the least that I can do
Your love is indeed the greatest
And please believe, we love you too
