Confluence Poem by Bireswar Halder

Confluence

You are far away beyond my reach,
Never to come back as an accomplice,
I have to walk with your sweet memories
To eliminate the burden a man carries.

Love has given me only pain and grief,
Tears roll down in silence to get relief,
Like a candle diminishing its light
Having no strength to bear the plight.

I feel your lovely existence and bicker,
And enjoy your company and whisper,
When I place my head on your heart
I hear you laugh from the graveyard.

Let me beat the pain being in seclusion,
I believe you will wait for my return,
To have a confluence with two souls
Making a dreamland with our roles.
