We had our first date tonight.
I didn't know what to expect.
It turned out to be alright-
No, actually, it was perfect.

Though never did I suspect
Even once in all this while
That it would have such an effect
Every time you make me smile.

I used to think all men were vile,
But now you've got me all confused
'Cause you're certainly not evil;
In fact, I'm glad you pursued.

But my confusion will be fine
As long as I can call you mine.
