Confused In My Thinking Poem by Francis Duggan

Confused In My Thinking

Rating: 5.0

Confused in my thinking my thoughts are not clear
I try to make sense out of all that I hear
Opinionated people like to have their say
And they use their words in a provocative way.

Confused in my thinking yet it does seem to me
That some with whose opinions I do not agree
That in some of their statements tiny grains of truth one does find
Suppose each to their own and to their own kind.

Confused in my thinking I try to make sense
Out of words used by others that cause me offense
For everything there's a reason it does seem that way
Yet with the meaning of words some do tend to play.

Confused in my thinking in that I am not alone
And I am not without sin so I won't cast the stone
By the right wing think tanks the have nots are kept down
And the poor getting poorer in City and Town.
