Confusion Poem by Anne Marie

Confusion

Mixed up feelings, blended thoughts, circling my head,
Forever spinning, never winning, emotions in the red,

Extreme confusion, heartbeat pounding, thumping like a drum,
Painful feelings fill my brain, yet I’m feeling numb,

Stomach’s like a butterfly that needs to be set free,
Eyes like winter clouds – they cannot seem to see,

Captured in a trap, stuck deeply in a rut,
It seems there’s no way out – every door is shut,

Falling deeper down and down, into Satan’s cup,
Hell’s not where I want to go, can someone help me up?
